ONDO STATE POLITRICkS.
I want to appreciate the immortal, the invisible God for the opportunity and privilege giving to me to live in a wonderful season as this.
This year has been eventful and many unconventional occurrences had happened and still happening and will continue to happen. From Leicester city winning the EPL, to BREXIT, to Portugal lifting the Euro 2016 golden trophy, to me going for Industrial Training and discovering my lost potential, to Trump being POTUS and now to Ondo State governorship election. It has been hilarious.
To the business of the moment, in his book, Hitler Secret Book, Telford Taylor summarized Hitler's principle of conquest and I paraphrase it as follows, "Politics is history repeating itself. You look for the flaws of the present government, coupled with the urgent needs of the people, then come out with some new or better ways of solving the problems, go on to win the election and then, go back to the same path of the predecessor and the successor does the same thing and the circle continues again". That I've found out to be true. In my own words, Politics is tricking the people to get you to a post and later turning your back on them. It's a game and he who seems too intelligent might lose it, the desperate might be disappointed and the unexpected might win. It's all about been smart and foolish at the same time.
As I begin this subject, i will consider it in series where the following set of rules will be followed as humanly possible:
1. As far as this series is concerned, am a gentleman of the press. It has nothing to do with other aspects of my life. I'm a third party observer and may I say, I do not belong to any political party neither am I affiliated to any political organization. I have managed to build a wide fence that I can sit down on, to write without favoritism.
2. I will be non-partisan and not partial in my views and opinions. Though this might be a tough thing to do, but I will make sure I abide by it.
3. The candidacy of each political party will be considered in each write-up. They are many, rounding up to about 20 or so. I will start with those who seems to have a foothold in the electioneering period and not those political baby party's that are just growing up.
4. The series shall be called RACE TO ALAGBAKA: ONDO POLITRICKS '16. Which you can find readily available here tomorrow.
Finally, one thing I have come to discover about this Race to Alagbaka is that most candidates are legal luminary, custodians of law, co-intellectuals who had one time or the other worked with each other. It's going to be an interesting political series to watch. I will analyse their policies, the ideologies that carry and most importantly what they promised to do for the people of Ondo state.
It's promises to be a long political walk and talk, relax, put away any political veil you have masked yourself with and let's enjoy this together.

THANKS.
